Baltimore-born, Los Angeles-based Lauren Lakis is preparing to release her sophomore album Daughter Language this fall. The first single from the album is “We’ll Be Fine.” Originally written about a romantic relationship, Lakis explains “as we’ve gone through this pandemic, it’s become a sort of love song to humanity, a ballad of hope.” Over dramatic drums and reverb-drenched guitars, the track sounds like Explosions in the Sky with vocals.
