Lexi Whatever “Inbetween Machine”

Los Angeles singer/songwriter, Lexi Whatever just released her new album, If You Call the Woman the Woman Comes. The latest single from the album is “Inbetween Machine,” a song that straddles the line between art-pop and 90s alt-rock. Beginning with a Casio beat and keyboard arpeggios, Whatever’s voice shows its dynamism singing with a low steady growl as well as soaring highs. The softness of the first verse is juxtaposed by a noisy, electric guitar-filled chorus showing the ferocity of artists like Tracy Bonham or Speedy Ortiz.
