Los Angeles-based LO LA recently released her single “happy 4 u.” Beginning with lush strings and gentle piano, the track quickly gives way to thumping kick drum and menacing synth bass. Over the top, LO LA sings about a fractured relationship and ruminates over the idea that her former partner said they would be happy for her when/if she found someone new. It makes for an emotionally tense but relatable track.
