Brisbane duo, Malcolm Forbes 70th Birthday Party recently released their single, “Made It Home.” The building track begins with tropical house percussion under wispy synth arpeggios with an occasional harsh synth hit. Ayla‘s voice breezily lilts over the top. The first chorus hits at 0:47 and marks a change in vibe with a bit more of an 80s synth pop sound entering but that harsh synth hit is still there and slowly takes over. The track eventually crescendos into an electroclash cacophony. It is a trip that is only slightly longer than the band’s name.
