Los Angeles’ Margot Polo just released his new single, “Can You Hear Me?” The song marks the first time he has written, recorded, sung, produced and mixed a track all himself, a situation necessitated by quarantine. Considering it is Polo’s first time, he does a heck of a job. The track is lead by pounding toms and fuzz-out bass but steady synth stabs and “la la” backing vocals help fill out the track. It feels like it bridges the gap between Tame Impala and Empire of the Sun in a fun and danceable way.
