Maria Neckam “She’s Sensitive”

Austria-born, New York City-based singer, Maria Neckam is preparing to release her album The Leap on September 27th. The second single from the album is “She’s Sensitive.” Featuring just pump organ, French horn, and vocals, the track is delicate but deftly done. The first verse was written in the middle of a writer’s block. As some way to get herself going, she based this song on the character of a book she was reading at the time. After the first verse was done, her musician boyfriend returned home from his tour and began acting strange. She found out that he had a serious opioid addiction and the second verse was born.
