Portland, Oregon-based songwriter, performer and producer Mike Coykendall is preparing to release his new record, Chasing Away The Dots in September. The album’s first single is “The Hippie Chick.” The track features backing vocals from the recent divorcees Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel along with steel guitar from Blitzen Trapper‘s Eric Earley.
