Music teacher by day, rapper by night, Monz is preparing to release his debut EP later this year. The first single from the EP is “Get Right,” a track that mixes his passion for jazz keys with his love of old school hip hop. Despite being from Hayward, CA, Monz’ sound is a bit more East Coast inspired. You can’t help but hear shades of Big L when Monz spits over the raw drums his rhymes about doing what you love and avoiding the dreaded nine to five.
