Following nearly three years of silence, Moon Bounce is preparing to release his sophomore full-length LP, Skip Intro on February 21st. The latest single from the album is “Hook.” Over a trap-inspired beat with melting music box chimes, Moon Bounce employs a deadpan flow. He explains “‘Hook’ emerged from a blossoming romance between my wife (rapper Push Push) and I. What started as a casual flirtation (she was visiting from South Africa, I had just moved to LA to live with Tommy Lee) quickly became full blown infatuation.” You can hear that mania for her in the song’s lyrics, even if the track itself sounds more reminiscent of Cuco‘s “CR-V.”
