In 1974, Moussa Doumbia released his single, “Keleya” via Ivorian label SID. The 7″ single has gone on to be one of the more rare and sought after relics of the 70s Afrobeat scene. The song is still captivating and cultivating a new following. Los Angeles-based producer, Garrett Lodge just dropped his remix of the track. He said “as soon as I heard the vocals on the original version I wasted no time and got to work on this remix.”
Using the vocal acapella from the originally, Lodge creates a bassy house track to bridge the decades of sound and marry them in a fun, danceable three minute banger.
