While no new album has been announced by Muse, the English trio released a new single today called “Dig Down.” Fans of Muse will immediately recognize the opening sound as that of a Kitara which Chris Wolstenholme famously played on “Madness.” Similar to “Madness,” “Dig Down” mixes elements of R&B, electronics, and prog-rock. Unlike “Madness,” the new single is more uplifting. Of the song, singer Matt Bellamy said “When I was writing this song, I was looking to counteract the current negativity in the world and give inspiration, optimism and hope to people to fight for the causes they believe in; that as individuals we can choose to change the world if we want to.”
