Premiere: Name Sayers “Reaper” (Official Music Video)

Austin, TX’s Name Sayers are preparing to release their new LP, Joyboys In The Grindhouse on July 28th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the music video for the lead single, “Reaper.”

Filmed by Evan Michael Crowley and edited by Chandler Jowell, the video captures the band performing at Hen House Recording in Austin. If you didn’t know any better, you would think it was a living room. The band appears to all be in the same wood paneled, carpeted room. While the video is fairly stripped down, it does an excellent job of illustrating the band’s musicianship. You see Grant Himmler switch from bass to his Arturia synthesizer. You watch Marc Henry keep the crisp beat that draws inspiration from boom-bap hip hop. Maybe most importantly, you get to watch the well-tattooed Devin James Fry sing and play guitar.
