Bristol, UK-based band, The New America just released their new track, “Hong Kong Free Press.” The band said “it’s a rare thing to be presented with a clear example of right vs wrong. If there is one stand out example in our troubled times, it is the crackdown on Hong Kong. ‘Hong Kong Free Press’ is a call to recognise those who are fighting the good fight and to acknowledge our own failures to do the same.” With a post-punk style reminiscent of bands like Art Brut or Fontaines D.C., the band may look young but they have already mastered writing sneering protest songs that are as catchy as they are profound.
