The New Pornographers are preparing to release their eighth studio album, In The Morse Code Of Brake Lights on September 27th. The album’s lead single is “Falling Down The Stairs Of Your Smile.” Beginning with a Tom Tom Club-esque bassline and a hand clapped beat, the track feels a little funkier than the average New Pornographers song. All the classic hallmarks of the band are still there though: pristine harmonies between Neko Case and AC Newman and a super catchy chorus.
