Merge Records is doing big thangs. The label announced that they are preparing to release the new Extra Lens‘ records. The band, formerly known as the Extra Glenns, is comprised of Franklin Bruno of Nothing Painted Blue and John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats. In addition to signing the Extra Lens, Merge announced they also signed the Mountain Goats. Two big signings for North Carolina’s own. The first single from the Extra Lens’ upcoming Undercard album is “Only Existing Footage”. Check it out.
