Premiere: Oskar O. “sleep it off”

Boston-raised, Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, Oskar O. is preparing to release her new single, “sleep it off.” Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the song.

“‘Sleep It Off’ is about that time you were ghosted without even realizing it,” says Oskar, real name Olivia Rittenburg. “When you liked someone so much that even though they gave you so little energy, you made excuses for them, and held out hope for way too long. You kept telling yourself they’re tired and sleeping it off, but they were just sleeping on you.”

She sings “have you been dreaming of me?” and gang vocals answer “no” over a synth-y R&B beat. It makes for a sultry heartbroken anthem with a little attitude.
