Like most Owl City singles, “Shooting Star” is a cloyingly sweet synth-pop track. Electronic Sound Outfit attempts to temper the sweetness down with their new remix. The track is given a progressive house makeover with big drops that help break up the sweet stuff and bring it more to the dancefloor.
