Upon hear the first two chords of Panos‘ “Marred,” you might think it is a Sixpence None the Richer rip off; the two chords perfectly mirror the iconic intro of “Kiss me,” the band’s biggest single. But “Marred” quickly morphs out of the acoustic, midtempo ballad form through an uptempo drum beat and lush instrumental. The track flowers into a fun indie-pop jaunt with some folk leanings.
