Singer/songwriter, Patrick Martin just dropped his new single “Both Of You.” The track marks his first time working with British producer Kid Harpoon. Considering that Harpoon’s co-writing credits include Maggie Rogers‘ “Light On” and Calvin Harris & Florence Welch‘ “Sweet Nothing,” it should be no surprise that Martin’s voice is treat more like a diva’s than the typical male pop song. With piercing snare drums and bending synths, Patrick Martin’s voice gets a little distortion on it and is otherwise free to go. It reminds me of artists like Charli XCX who make big anthemic pop songs; “Both of You” is right on that level.
