Guelph trio, Royal Castles just released their sophomore album, Just the Hits. The latest single from the album is “Schönsee” which was a Russian-Mennonite colony who trekked across Europe by caravan to escape religious persecution in WWII. The song builds upon the German lullaby singer Katrin Sawatzky heard often as a child. Sung in both German and English, the track mixes elements of shoegaze, twee, and jangle pop into fun, dreamy anthem.
