Vancouver band, Said The Whale just released their new single, “99 to the Moon.” The song juxtaposes folky guitar and train-like chugging drums with a string-filled chamber pop chorus. Lyrically, singer-songwriter Tyler Bancroft said he took inspiration from his own 11-year partnership to write the song. It talks about building a relationship and the closeness you feel to a partner. It’s quite beautiful both musically and lyrically.
