Calgary group, Sargeant X Comrade just released their sophomore album, The Elephant in the Room. The album’s latest single is “Nosy Neighbour.” While the group is self-described as “lo-fi soul,” “Nosy Neighbour” is an infectious mix of dancehall, afrobeats, and hip hop. Lead singer, Yolanda trades her general silky-smooth vocals for curt raps about a looky loo next door. With the lyrics often tilting toward the humorous, “Nosy Neighbour” is a fun and danceable track.
