Essex born and raised songwriter, Scott Lavene recently released his new single, “Waitrose Has Run Out Of Lobsters.” The tongue-in-cheek ballad is a humorous look at classism with a specific UK flare. While I think American’s can understand the lyrics on their own, I did look up what Waitrose is. It is an upscale grocery store in the UK, similar to Whole Foods. As Lavene explains he wrote the song “after listening to lots and lots of people moaning about the things they couldn’t do and the things they couldn’t have during lockdown.”
