Seattle’s Select Level are preparing to release their self-titled album on June 21st. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their new single “The Race.”
Select Level describes “The Race” as “a slice of languid-funk tropical coolness wearing Miami Vice pastels.” With its warm AM radio vibes and 80s synths, it sounds somewhere between Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi and Ariel Pink. As the weather heats up across the country, “The Race” could easily soundtrack a trip to the beach or a backyard BBQ.
