Doomtree members P.O.S, Sims, Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger are back as Shredders. The quartet will release their sophomore album, Great Hits on August 30th. The latest single from the album “Suburban Base.”
P.O.S and Sims try to one-up each other lyrically on the track but the real story is the beat. Mixing buzzing synths and a Drum and Bass beat, the track sounds unlike anything going on in hip hop today. Its this kind of innovation that has keep Doomtree as one of hip hop’s shining stars for over a decade.
