“Mom used to record tennis matches on VHS tapes,” said Aaron J. Spransy, the man behind Sinnet. “I’d later record MTV and other things over the tapes but, every once in a while between MTV Beach House clips a little bit of John McEnroe or Ivan Lendl would come to the surface.” In a microcosm, that is what the band’s new single, “Tenez!” is like. Over beachy surf music reminiscent of the Kids in the Hall theme song, Spransy sings about tennis!
