Virtual band, Soda State just dropped their debut single, “The Look.” Starting off with shimmering synth stabs, creeping bass, and female vocals, it sounds reminiscent of mid-2000s Annie. After some gun shot snares, the song changes, incorporating down pitched vocals and quick synth arpeggios with a more filled out beat. It ends up sounding like a modern electro-pop bop.
