Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, Sozi just released her single, “Jinx It.” Straddling the line between bedroom pop and rock, the song’s verses feature palm-muted guitar over electronic drums. The chorus is when Sozi breaks into a bigger, more anthemic sound with full-on power chords over arena rock drums. Each chorus gets progressively bolder with layers of reverb-drenched guitars added to the mix to create a wall-of-sound aesthetic. It makes for Sozi’s best single to date.
