Swedish one man-band, The Sweet Serenades is preparing to release his fifth album, Everything Dies. The first single from the album is “Go Go Go (Forever Young).” The man behind the monicker, Martin Nordvall describes the song as “an indie requiem for my father that passed away very suddenly and unexpected in September 2019 – my way of saying goodbye.” The song doesn’t feel outwardly sad, instead it has a slightly ambient yet hypnotic feel. The words “go go go” are repeated over a haunting synthscape while Nordvall’s top line is reminiscent of Matt Berninger of the National.
