There have been plenty of cringey moments in Taylor Swift songs such as “You could have been getting down to this.sick.beat” from “Shake It Off” or “”I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now/ Why? /Oh, ’cause she’s dead” from “Look What You Made Me Do.” Her latest single, “ME!” might top all of those. In general, the song is fine; it is pretty much what you would expect from a song featuring a member of Panic! At the Disco. It’s theatrical, a little bit cheesy, but still enjoyable until about a minute and 50 seconds in. Urie exclaims “hey kids!” and Swift adds “spelling is fun!” No. Just no. It doesn’t even matter what happens in the rest of the song because you can’t come back after that. “ME!” is cancelled.
