Premiere: Jon Patrick Walker: People Going Somewhere

Jon Patrick Walker is probably best known as Hope Davis’ husband along with his roles in movies like Winter’s Tale and The Secret Lives of Dentists. In 2006, he released his debut album, The Guilty Party–a rootsy folk album with touches of psychedelic rock. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to exclusively stream his sophomore album People Going Somewhere.

Although The Guilty Party was a bit of a folk album, Walker’s main influence has always been the Beatles. That is apparently from the getgo on People Going Somewhere. Opening track “Mother’s Gonna Shrug Us Off” sounds like “Eleanor Rigby” covered by Arcade Fire. Album singles “Hideous Monster” and “Oh, Rosie” continue the classic psychedelic rock sound.
