Premiere: A Picture Made “Boxes On The Floor”

Midwest quartet, A Picture Made cut their teeth opening for bands like The Replacements and the Call in the 80s. Despite positive press and an undeniable buzz surrounding the band, they are just now releasing their debut album, Heal. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their latest single “Boxes On The Floor.”

With shuffling drums and jangly guitars, you can hear elements of R.E.M. and Big Star in their sound. The bittersweet lyrics discuss waiting and wanting in such perspective that can only be achieved with age and wisdom. The instrumentation and lyrics combined give the song an austere quality that makes the 35 year wait for A Picture Made’s debut album seem worth it.
