Aaronic Dorsey “Summer Was”

Georgia rapper, Aaronic Dorsey just dropped his What Summer Was EP. The concept of the EP is stated in the track “Summer Was,” where he sings “why didn’t somebody tell me that summer don’t exist when you grow up?” Over a chilled laid back beat, Aaronic Dorsey sounds a bit like the old Kanye, rapping nostalgically about the days of being in school and having summers off to spend with a partner.

You get a similar message on “Cruise Control.” Over a slightly more aggressive beat, Dorsey raps about driving with the windows down in the summer with his crew. The chorus has an Outkast “Elevators” sort of feel to it.
