Amanda Lyons has journeyed from doing cover songs on her YouTube channel to creating new and original pop music. A classically trained vocalist, her music is a dynamic mixture of downtempo and synthpop. On her new single “Waiting For” sparsely instrumented verses give way to a lush, synthed-out chorus. It feels cathartic to the point of effervescence not to mention it is catchy as hell.
