My favorite Kacey Musgraves song is “High Horse;” the slick mix of Fleetwood Mac-esque vocals over modern funk/disco production just hits a sweet spot for me. Bashaya Soul‘s new single “Magnetic” does the same. The Glasgow group says that it was inspired by turn-of-the-millennium dance classics like “Sing it Back” and “Murder on the Dancefloor” but to me it sounds like Stevie Nicks in a frilly red jumpsuit on Solid Gold.
