Toronto rapper, Cadence Weapon is preparing to release his new album, Parallel World on April 30th. The latest single from the album is “Eye To Eye.” The song is a recounting of the experiences being a black man in Canada. He raps “thank God I made it home today/if I walked another block might have gotten blown away” over a jungle-influenced beat. It makes for a deeply personal song and insight into Canada’s own problems with racism.
