Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter, Cape Francis is preparing to release his third LP this fall. The latest single from the album is “Just Because.” “Throughout most of my twenties I was in denial of the fact that I could seriously use therapy,” Cape Francis explains. “Last year, I finally took the steps needed to get some help. This song was written as a reminder to keep working on it, to not resort back to the mess I was for most of my 20s.”
The fairly somber track mixes piano, light drums, and steady electric guitar to create a spacious chamber pop feel. It sounds somewhere between Arcade Fire and Phoebe Bridgers.
