Austin’s The Cuckoos will be re-releasing their self-titled debut EP on November 24th. The re-release will include brand new track “A Little Bit Funky.” Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the song’s music video. The band comes out of the Austin psych scene so there are elements of psychedelia incorporated into the video but there is definite 80s feel with footage of people dancing in day-glo shirts, shoulder pads, and windbreakers. The band also have a keytar player which makes them MORE than a little funky. Vocalist/keytarist Kenneth Frost said of the video “I’m particularly excited to release this because it gives people a little taste of what else we can do. It shows a little more diversity rather than just another psych rock song.”
