New York City producer and VHS Collection member, Curtis Lowe just released his new single, “Hearts Were Meant To Break.” With a creeping bassline over a thumping four-on-the-floor beat, the track has a classic house feel. Add in Jessica Childress‘ soulful vocals and its a recipe for an old school jam but as you might expect from a member of VHS Collection, Lowe brings some of his modern synth-pop style to the post-chorus creating a sound reminiscent of “Midnight City”-era M83.
