London-based artist Dean Blunt is preparing to release his first official solo LP, The Redeemer on May 1st via his own World Music imprint and Hippos in Tanks. While it may be his debut solo EP, he is well known in the music world as one half of the duo, Hype Williams. The first single from his album is “Papi,” a vinyl hiss-filled, piano ballad reminiscent of J. Dilla.
