Scottish quartet, Declan Welsh & The Decadent West just released their new EP, It’s Been a Year. The latest single from the album is the tongue-in-cheek rocker, “Parisian Friends.” Mixing elements of garage rock revival and post-punk, the track is about “being surrounded by cool people and feeling like you might not match up,” says Welsh. He calls the lyrics “deliberately ham-fisted as it’s about trying to superficially present yourself as one thing, when you know that’s not who you really are.”
