Slow but surely, I have been receiving fewer and fewer mashups. Where once the college mashup artist stood, now stands the wannabe progressive house DJ. But there are some that are still carrying on the noble legacy of the mashup like DJ Ego. His latest mashup “Young Manners” is a fun track mixing the poppy instrumental from Chiddy Bang‘s “Mind Your Manners” with Childish Gambino‘s ferocious acapella. The juxtaposition of styles is interesting but most importantly, the mashup is fun.
