Chicago’s Dogs At Large are preparing to release their album, Overpass. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their new single “Willow.” Begin with a heavily chorused electric guitar arpeggios, the track has obvious psychedelic leanings but the earnest way the vocals are delivered are Jens Lekman-esque. Some tight vocal harmonies on the chorus give “Willow” a country-tinge. Dogs At Large brings the track to a conclusion with a blazing saxophone solo that you really don’t see coming. “Willow” is a beautiful summer song for us on the cusp of fall.
