The resurgence of Phil Collins‘ “In the Air Tonight,” first fueled by The Hangover and more recently by the viral video of TwinsthenewTrend hearing it for the first time, is really unlike anything outside of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Although the covers of it number the stars, producer DRESSD teams up with fellow Swede, vocalist Maja Amcoff for a new version. DRESSD’s slick EDM production serves as a haunting yet danceable backdrop for Amcoff’s dynamic vocal performance. The hushed tones of the song’s verses explode into a powerful rush of adrenaline for the chorus making for an exhilarating listening experience.
