Ea Othilde “I Couldn’t Be There”

Seventeen year old Oslo-based singer/songwriter, Ea Othilde is preparing to release her debut EP later this year. The latest single from the album is “I Couldn’t Be There.” The track sets bouncy guitar arpeggios over galloping drums with Othilde’s vulnerable vocals. Her voice reminds me of a female version of Elliott Smith and lyrically she called the song “the sound of time slipping through your fingers, the soundtrack of roads leading nowhere.”
