Swedish singer/songwriter, Francis Moon just dropped his new single, “Chance.” Mixing lush synth pads, pianos, and an esoteric drum beat, the track is a dreamy indie-pop song reminiscent of artists like Passion Pit or Foster the People. But the poppy exterior juxtaposes less than happy music, Moon describes the track as “balancing the pains of the past with the reluctant willingness of moving forward.” With heartbreaking lines like “oh this is not a goodbye, right?/No, this is not a god damn sad goodbye/´cause I can’t carry it upon my shoulders anymore,” you need the jittery pianos to make it through.
