Hot off the heels from one of their songs appearing in the horror-comedy film, M3GAN (“Le Point Zero”), Freedom Fry release their first single of 2023. “If the World Was Mine” straddles the line between indie folk and twee. You can hear shades of The Boy Least Likely To as well as Bob Dylan‘s “Tombstone Blues” in the song’s buzzy lead guitar over a sunny, strummed acoustic. It doesn’t sound like it will be used in any upcoming horror movies but a fun summer track nonetheless.
