Casey Chandler is a prolific song writer. Under the moniker Galapaghost he released the album, Pulse back in January. On August 10th, he will release another album called Sootie. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the final track on the album, “Sunfrost.”
The track mixes elements of kraut rock and lo-fi pop. A cacophony of shimmer synth sounds makes up the backdrop for Chandler’s delicate vocals. His voice reminds me of Ed Droste from Grizzly Bear as he begs the listener “just let me fade out” in the song’s chorus. It’s a beautiful way to end the album and makes for a great single.
