Ever since LCD Soundsystem released “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down,” it feels like we’ve been waiting for a definitive version from the left coast. Golda‘s “Dear Los Angeles” feels like it might be ready for that spot. The delicate ballad begins “Dear Los Angeles, you’re breaking me down, I wish I knew how to get myself out of here” and it only gets more emotional from there. But for all the Angelinos struggling, there are more than a few nuggets that ring true in golda’s lyrics.
