South London producer Paul White and Florida vocalist Eric Biddines, known as Golden Rules released their single “Never Die” way back in 2015. As part of Lex Records 20th Anniversary, the song gets an updated mix courtesy of New York City’s Prefuse 73.
The remix begins the same as the original with reverbed horns and heavily echoed vocals. Prefuse 73’s work really comes during the verses where he mixes a raw hip hop beat with reverb-drenched synth arpeggios and jazzy organ stabs. The remix features the same Yasiin Bey verse as the original, Freddie Gibbs blesses the Lex Records classic with a brand new verse.
